The Center for Advanced Professional Studies (CAPS) is an award winning educational program in Blue Valley Schools that pairs student interests and strengths with Industry Professionals and authentic projects. One such project is the creation of the Sensory Chair that applies deep pressure therapy to children on the autism spectrum. Students in the fields of engineering, medicine, business, design, and education have worked together to build and test new chair designs in hopes of bringing the innovation into the marketplace.
